Hello and happy Monday everyone. Welcome to Network Engineer Pro. I’m Rafael, CCIE 64356 in routing and switching.
In this video I talk about the different switching concepts as it relates to Cisco networking and the CCNA (200-301) exam.
This video covers the following objectives in the current (as of fall 2020) exam blueprint:
1.13 Describe switching concepts
– 1.13.a MAC learning and aging
– 1.13.b Frame switching
– 1.13.c Frame flooding
– 1.13.d MAC address table
We’ll cover not just theory alone but hands on the cli, examining the MAC address table and some of the options available to us. I will assume you have an understating on how the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) works. If you don’t, no need to worry, here is a link to my ARP tutorial.
If you’re studying for the CCNA (200-301) or learning networking in general then this video is for you.
I hope everyone that watched this video enjoyed it and learned something.
