Smithproxy – quick howto: ipv6 testing with teredo

We will show in less than 5 minutes how to setup IPv6 in the smithproxy system and how to successfully inspect and capture IPv6 traffic

Steps performed:
– run smithproxy .net, .exe

– check if running current smithproxy: use 0.9.6 or better

– check policy and address objects

::: smithproxy is ready

– install miredo – teredo linux client

– check ip6 routes if correctly set

– run ipv6 testing site

::: conclude there is not much traffic as Ipv4 is preferred over teredo

– change gai.conf to make teredo preferred over ipv4

– make test again and visit facebook site

– check session list, tls-list and capture files
