Should I get a Cybersecurity Cert or Degree?

Often does the question pop up for those transitioning into tech — « Should I get a Security Cert or Should I get a security degree? ». Certs are great for specialization in something. Security certs fill in the gap for missing information you may have on the subject; however what happens when you don’t have any information on the subject of security? Should you go back and get a degree? I take a stab at this question from my personal experience. There’s no easier answer to this question which is why it is my longest video yet.
