The Network Layer of the Open Systems Interconnect (OSI) model is responsible for isolating traffic into broadcast domains.

This layer, also known as Layer 3, is responsible for managing all the data routing, transmission, and addressing of network packets.

It is the layer that provides logical addressing, such as IP addresses, which enable the routing of packets to their final destination.

Additionally, the Network Layer is responsible for ensuring that packets are transmitted in an efficient manner.

It is also responsible for creating virtual connections and managing data flow control.

This layer is critical for transmitting data across multiple networks, enabling communication and data transfer between the different networks.
