Senior Network Engineer

Good afternoon, this is Spiller The IT Headhunter again.
At present I am looking for a Senior Network Engineer for
KBC Global Services that provides IT solutions for insurance and banking.
The team is partly Belgian and partly Hungarian.
At the moment we are growing the Hungarian part of the team.
You will be part of the Group Data Center’s international team:
• Implementing and maintaining the infrastructure.
• Running the KBC data centers.
• Design of the architecture and implementation.
• The collective scope of the network and security teams:
o Identity and access management for web applications.
o The API gateway.
o Connectivity (with external parties, with the cloud) via internet, leased lines, VPNs
o Load balancing, DDOS protection, and the internet proxy
o The DMZ environment (routers, firewalls, ..)
o Connectivity in and between the KBC Group data centers
o Switching, routing, DNS/DHCP and network management.
As for the job and your responsibilities:
• Projects and implementations of network infrastructure
• Collaboration with business parties (internal customer), IT architects, and system engineers.
• Daily operational management of a telecommunication and security components.
• Support and implementations outside of business hours in 24/7.
• Keep track of market and technology evolution.
• Actively looking for opportunities to improve the domain.
• Problem analysis, handle incidents to improve the domain.
• Automating works: reduce repeated work, avoid human error, proactive checks.
• Setup, configuration, capacity management, follow-up of version and functionality evolutions, patching security risks, integration in existing KBC infrastructure, analysis, design, implementation and testing.

 
As for the requirements:
• Degree in IT or Computer Sciences.
• Passion for networks and security.
• An interest in banking, insurance, or a similar services is a plus.
• Routing and switching, networking services on an enterprise level.
• Programming or scripting (Ansible, Python, Perl, Java)
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization: DNS/DHCP/IPAM
• Network management tooling for availability
• Process and service level management.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Sense of responsibility.
• You are able to work both individually and in team.
• Your English language skills are good.
• You communicate clearly and effectively.
• You can be convincing and you can be diplomatic but also confident.
• You’re result oriented while managing risk, quality, and cost.
