We’ve all heard it repeatedly: the claim that there just aren’t enough qualified cybersecurity professionals out there. However, I’m here to challenge that narrative. As I’ve engaged with young and transitioning professionals this past year, my perspective has shifted dramatically. It’s become clear to me that many individuals possess the mandatory technical certifications and cybersecurity degrees, yet we still believe there’s a talent shortage because our over reliance on technical requirements as a supposed silver bullet.
