Network industry is fundamentally moving towards automation and scripting.Python is one of the frequently used development language in automation context.
Python learning series for Network engineers is particularly for network engineers who doesn’t have any coding experience and who like to learn python for automating their day to day tasks. These videos are going to be more based on network device configurations.
Some of the advanage of python ,it is Simple to learn and very readable language, Even if you dont have any prior experience in coding, you will be able to learn it easily.
It supports on wide range of Operating systems.,Even some of the Networking devices now a days support builtin python and most of the vendors are focusing more on device APIs and scriptings.
Ability to understand progamming or scripting will allow Network Engineers to easily adapt to the changes. So this is the right time for network engineers to start learning some basics of programming from networking context
From the next video on wards we will start real time demos on python.
Through out this series, I will be using Routers and switches which are real or simulated in either GNS3 or EVE-NG for demonstration. First few videos are going to be introduction. Then we will move to real scripting.
I will be showing how to install python in Linux using manual download method from python.org
Explanation about how to install it using external repository
Compare python 2 and Python 3
What is libraries
How to user libraries
What is pip
How to install pip
How to install external libraries using pip
How to use virtulenvironment to avoid version conflicts
Python learning for Network Engineers | Part 02 | Install compare Python version 2 and 3 linux .tar
Python learning for Network Engineers Part 03 | Compare Python version 2 vs 3 | EOL Python 2 PEP 373
Python learning for Network Engineers Part 04 | What is pip How to Install python-pip libraries
Python learning for Network Engineers Part 05 | Install virtual environments use in Python 2 and 3
Python learning for Network Engineers Part 06 | First script using telnetlib in Python 2 & Python 3
Python learning for Network Engineers Part 07 | Telnet | variable |if statement |String |Intendation
Python learning for Network Engineers | Part 08 | SSH using paramiko
Python learning for Network Engineers | Part 09 | ‘for’ loops for creating list of interfaces
This series covers Netconf/YANG restconf
