In This Video We Are Looking At Puppy 22.12+3, Puppy Linux , which is a standalone GNU/Linux distribution and comes with JVM or Openbox desktops by default , is built from a « Puppy builder » system called Woof-CE ( woof-CE on GitHub) that can build a Puppy Linux distribution from binary packages of another distribution.

It is known that Woof-CE got a new kernel update mechanism that provides even higher hardware compatibility. Hthe system, which is available as both 64-bit and 32-bit versions; The 64-bit version is built on the 5.15 LTS Linux kernel and the 32-bit version is on the 5.10 LTS Linux kernel. Attempting to roll out with the traditional Puppy Linux look, feel and features, the version comes with Joe’s window manager (JWM) 2.4.3 and includes LXDE and Xfce plugins. The new version is said to be compatible with Slackware 15.0 and Salix software repositories. Supporting programs including Abiword word processor and Gnumeric spreadsheet, Pmusic and MPlayer which supports FFmpeg, browser loader is said to be used for heavy browsers like Chromium, Firefox and Palemoon. Evince PDF viewer is also included in the system, including Samba, which is used to share files with Windows.

SPups are Woof-CE Puppy Linux builds using Slackware components.
ScPup uses Slackware-Current
S15Pup uses Slackware-15.0
The builds are traditional Puppy Linux configurations with JWM
as the desktop/panel/window manager and ROX as the file manager.
The builds use the same configurations as LxPupSc with the exception
of no LXDE. The look and feel is similar to BionicPup32.
Both 32-bit and 64-bit builds are available.
