Network Automation Heroes Episode 12 – Managing Juniper Mist with NetBox Cloud

NetBox Automation Heroes is a video series inspired by the innovators in the NetBox and network automation communities.

In this episode, Mark Coleman, Chief Evangelist of NetBox Labs, is joined by Bryan Ward, Lead Network Engineer at Dartmouth College.

They discuss how Dartmouth was a very early adopter of both NetBox and Juniper Mist and how their diligent work has not only led to very advanced network automation workflows, but also to meaningful impact on both the NetBox Cloud and Juniper Mist roadmaps!

They discuss the process all networking teams go through, from documenting their networks in NetBox, through modeling the connections into other systems, through full blown automation, including the common challenges along the way.

Bryan explains in detail how their AP automation works, and how their investments in automating with NetBox and Juniper Mist have allowed them to reduce load on the networking teams and provide an outstanding experience for the end users of Dartmouth’s network.
