Macintosh System 7.5 Overview from Computer Chronicles in 1994
A short video from 1994 taking a peak at Apple’s System 7.5 for the Macintosh. This OS was the introduction of the Stickies! We’ve still got those today. System 7.5 was also the beginning of « Drag and Drop » throughout the entire OS; still very much alive today.
Other stuff introduced in System 7.5 (but not shown in the video), were AppleScript, and Quicktime 2.0.
Some Mac stuff shown that didn’t survive to modern times including the WindowShade feature which « rolled up » the window into the title bar to save screen space. Also gone is the Apple Guide, an interactive tool to teach you how to use the Mac by circling items on-screen.
