Macintosh SE HDD Autopsy
I’m opening my Macintosh SE.
It has hard disk drive problems.
It won’t boot from HDD.
Most likely it has bad SCSI chip. But have to see. First I’ve to find a working SCSI drive that is compatible with the old Mac SE.
Don’t try this at home! There is very high voltage inside and risk of static electricity.
And also if you have some valuable files on you HDD the drive will most likely be wasted and you can’t read any files from there.
There are data recovery companies who can do it if needed.
