Macintosh LC Power Supply Repair with an Hair dryer
I started with a power supply that was just ticking, nothing on the output.
After replacing the ELNA capacitors the psu started up, but the output voltages were to low for the machine to start up correctly.
Since i didn’t have any 1000uf capacitors on hand, I tried warming up the existing ones, to see if they were the problem.
The other capacitors that I need to replace are:
3- 1000uf 10v
1- 47uf 25v
1- 8.2uf 50v
if your supply is just ticking, check out this page:

Replacing them is very easy, so give that a try!
