Apple’s Mac OS 8 represented a ground-breaking evolution with a complete system overhaul focusing on color and modernity in the wake of Steve Jobs’ return to Apple in 1997. This is my review of Mac OS 8, a system that had great successes with end-users and the OS that was promoted when Apple released the iMac and subsequently saved itself from an untimely demise.
