In this video, we’ll set up an Apple Silicon M1 MacBook Air for development by installing popular languages, tools, and IDEs. You may be surprised at just how much works out of the box and how well it works!

Software installed: Xcode, Homebrew, Python, Node.js, Yarn, Java JDK, MongoDB, Postgres, SQLite, MySQL, Cocoapods, Flutter, IntelliJ, PyCharm, WebStorm, Android Studio, Visual Studio Code (VSCode / VS Code), Atom, Sublime Text

Doesn’t work: Docker, VirtualBox, VMWare Fusion, Parallels Desktop, Bootcamp, Go, Older versions of Java.
