How To Partition of C Drive in Windows 10 without Formatting SSD / HDD
To Create Partition of C Drive in Windows 10 without Formatting SSD / HDD, follow these steps:
– Search for Drive Manager in the search box. Open the first result that reads as “Create and format hard disk partitions”.
– In the opening window, you can see the C:// drive with full volume of your storage capacity. Right click on it and select “Shrink Volume”.
– In the next window, enter the volume you want to take away for creation of new partitions. For example, your total storage is 500GB, and you want to allot 120GB to C:// drive and create two other drive with remaining 380 GB, enter here 380,000. Please note the volume is shown here in MB. (1 GB – 1024MB).
– Click on “Shrink”. In the coming window, you can see as the volume of C:// as reduced to 120 GB and remaining volume as “Unallocated Volume”.
– Right click on “Unallocated Volume” and select “New Simple Volume”. In the next window, enter size of the drive you want to create. If you wish only one more drive, leave the volume as it is. Then click “Next”.
– In the next window, assign a letter to your new drive and then click next.
– In the next window, give a volume label if you wish… Else, leave the inputs as default and click “next”. Click on “Finish” in the next window. Now you have created one partition.
– If still there are “Unallocated Volume”, right click on it – click: “New Simple Volume”, do the previous steps to create another drive.
