The Role:
As Sr. Network Engineer, you’ll be responsible for providing technical design, strategic guidance, direction and support within the Engineering department, leveraging new ideas and the latest technologies, best practices and network engineering expertise. This position requires a high level of experience on multiple platforms of routers and switches, and a dedication to pushing the network forward to deploy new services and enhancements. The Network Engineer will be responsible enhancing and optimizing the global network. The Engineer will also be part of a third tier group backing up the 24/7 NOC and tier 1 & 2 support groups. He/she should be comfortable with a multivendor Cisco/Juniper based network.
Requirements:
Must have 3+ years in network engineering experience in a Service Provider environment; setting up MPLS networks, Layer 2/Layer 3
Must have advanced understanding of BGP, OSPF, and/or ISIS, building and utilizing MPLS networks
Experience in Juniper and JunOS is a plus (but not required).
Any experience in scripting (Perl, Python, Expect Script), automation, Linux, and/or orchestration will be a plus – Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes
Cisco or Juniper certs are a plus; CCNP, CCIE, JNCIA, JNCIE
