Trying to recover some Windows 10 Pro retail licenses off of devices that were promoted to Enterprise via Azure Subscription Activation, but having no luck. I’ve tried running various scripts that litter the internet like ShowPlusKey from the MS Store, VB Scripts, C# .exes, etc. Everything returns generic licenses depending on where they’re pulling the info from I suppose (i.e. Windows 10 Pro generic license). However, I have been assured that the previous admin purchased and used retail licenses, of which there are no records. Is it possible to recover Windows 10 Pro retail license after promotion? Or was the previous admin full of poopoo and doing something strange? I just hate to give up and say if something bad happens to a machine, we have to shell out another $200 for a Pro license if we don’t have to. Any thoughts appreciated!
