There’s a new boss in town, and it’s the Performer PDS 68030 Accelerator for Apple Macintosh SE by MacEffects. The 16Mhz 030 combined with the 25mhz FPU on this card is a real shot in the arm for many tasks on your stock Macintosh SE! Mac II performance on a budget!
In this video, I benchmark the card using both Speedometer and real-world tasks in Adobe Photoshop and Stuffit, and compare those scores to the stock machine.
