Apple have just had their Apple Silicon Mac Event, their final event of 2020 and it was awesome!! They do the best virtual, pre-recorded events by far. The transitions, visuals and overall production quality is second to none – well done Apple!
They introduced new hardware including:
– Their new M1 Apple Silicon chip which is the first chip specifically designed for Macs

– New MacBook Air
– New Mac Mini

Apple have finally began the transition over to their own Silicon in their Macs and it brings huge leaps in both performance and power efficiency. The shells of these new Macs are extremely similar, if not identical to what we’ve seen in previous years. However, the improvements they can bring through using their own M1 chip seem massive! I’m really excited to see what the future of Apple Silicon Macs have to offer but they seem to be an absolute game changer so far.
