Apple Macintosh iMac G3 PowerPC Running Ubuntu Linux 5.1
This is a video of my Apple Macintosh iMac G3 PowerPC (333Mhz Processor, 128MB RAM), running Ubuntu Linux 5.1. I downloaded a program from the internet called Transmac, using my Compaq SR5410F PC Clone, which allows me to burn Macintosh CD and DVD images on my PC Clone. Then, I burned and installation CD for Ubuntu Linux 5.1 for the PowerPC architecture. Finally, I wiped the Apple macintosh iMac G3’s hard drive, and installed Ubuntu Linux 5.1 on it. This video is an example of my Apple Macintosh iMac G3 PowerPC booting into Ubuntu Linux 5.1, then shutting down again.
