Apple Macintosh hidden message from 1984
Apple Macintosh Easter Egg. Back in 1984 when the Macintosh was first launched Apple had spent considerable time and money defending their intellectual property. Most notably was the court case between Apple and Franklin Computer Corporation which Apple won on appeal. The legal precedent set in this case in 1983 changed software copyright law. Subsequently to help Apple defend its rights it hid easter eggs inside the Macintosh ROMs so if they were ever copied it would be easy for Apple to prove.
