How to Get the Current Date and Format It Using DateFormat – Android Studio Tutorial
In this video we will learn, how to get the current date using the Calendar class, how to format the date to the user’s locale with the help of DateFormat and how to display it in a TextView. The date then will change according to the language of the user’s device and we can also define, if we want to show the full date with the name of the weekday and the full name of the month, or a shorter version with just numbers.
