2 – IPv4 Classes and Public -vs- Private Ranges
Do I need this???
This module will discuss the classes associated to IPv4 and addresses, bit patterns which divide the classes. We will also look at the differences between public and private address ranges.
Example: Can you convert a leading bit pattern of an IPv4 address to a class? 110 in the leading octet results in what class? Which bit pattern will divide the network and host portion evenly? Is your IP address in the public or private range?
If so you’re probably not in need of this…Test yourself first with the following Challenge Me!!! http://youtu.be/sdq2c7X38FA
