The Role:
As Network Engineer, you’ll be responsible for providing technical design, strategic guidance, direction and support within the Engineering department, leveraging new ideas and the latest technologies, best practices and network engineering expertise. This position requires experience on multiple platforms (Juniper, Cisco, Brocade). The Network Engineer will be responsible enhancing and optimizing the network — and provide engineering solutions for unique customer applications. He/she must be comfortable with a complex Juniper-based network.
Requirements:
Must have 3+ years of network engineering and/or operations experience in a service provider environment
Advanced understanding of BGP, RSVP, MPLS,, OSPF, LDP,
Expert level understanding of MPLS enable networks and applications (l3vpm, l2vpn, vpls, etc.)
Solid understanding of TCP-IP (both IPv4 and IPv6)
Understanding of Ethernet Layer 2 protocols and technologies; VLANs, rSTP, Metro Rings
Expereince in scipting is a plus: PERL , Python , Shell
Must have comfortable working with Juniper platforms: JunOS, MX, EX, QFX platforms.
Juniper cert(s) is a plus; JNCIS, JNCIP
