2 4 GHz Patch Antenna Simulation & Render
Simulation and render of a 2.4GHz patch antenna! This animation shows a 4GHz bandwidth gaussian pulse launched from an RF amplifier board into a RG-316 coax cable connected to the antenna, only the 2.4GHz frequency component oscillates and then radiates from the antenna.
You can see how the electric and magnetic near fields just above the antenna surface alternate with time and are dense closer to the edges. I’ve also shown the radiation pattern that is generated.
This was simulated in #openEMS (including the coax feed) and rendered in Blender! Stay tuned for simulations and renders like this!
