The M3 chips come in three versions: the M3, the M3 Pro, and the M3 Max. They are designed for different Macs, from the lightweight Macbook Air and iPads to advanced MacBook Pros, Mac Pros, and Studio. They can handle various tasks, such as web browsing, coding, running simulations, and editing videos.
The base-level M3 chip has eight cores and a new 10-core graphics unit. It is as complex as another famous chip, the Phoenix, made by AMD. The M3 Pro and the M3 Max are even more advanced, with more cores and graphics units. This time, the M3 Max-based MacBook Pro can be opted with as much as 128GB of unified memory.
