Hackers commonly use social engineering through email to compromise your computer. They do this because it is easy, free, and can be scaled up to compromise many companies at once.
Social Engineering via phone is a little different on how the attack is carried out, but it has similar goals. One form of this type of attack that is very common is called the “Tech Support Scam”. Let’s dig into how this attack works. In some cases, the hacker will initiate contact with you by calling you on the phone directly. Other times they will convince you to call them.
