Why is the Android Version of OneNote such a crap compared to iOS? Why is it not possible to embed movies from OneDrive but from Youtube. Why is it so slow. why are there 2 different OneNote Versions. Why, is the mobile Version so different from the Desktop Version. Why is it not possible to use a normal A4 Format instead of that infinity stuff. You can't print your notes on paper!! Microsoft seems to make a chaos with OneNote. But we already know such stories from Skype as an example or Groove Music, MS Health, Windows 10X, WinMobile and so on.they need to find their way as soon as possible!! I really want to love OneNote. But compared to Nimbus Notes and others it's not really usable for me.

Love OneNote, but this update is utterly underwhelming. Was really hoping to see the OneNote team integrate some of the strengths of other notation apps, like Notion.

Sorry, this only shows a complete lack of understanding where OneNote is embarrassingly behind the standard. Individual page sharing, proper tags, inline note linking, change tracking. Until then it will always be only a complement to serious note taking. It has strengths in pen input but it's not enough. Is nobody at Microsoft really looking at the innovations in the field of note taking?

Would be nice to get a more accessible horizontal scroller on onenote, the hover-over wait until expanded horizontal scrollbar takes too much time. And also a panning hand would be nice, to navigate easier.

I always* move onto the next version of apps. As a dev, I’m delivering change to users so I need to accept change from the other direction.

*I couldn’t make the switch the WinRT OneNote app. Email a page in Outlook is one critical reason for not switching.

The whole pivot to WinRT apps for Office was always confusing. Are the Win32 apps going away or not? 🤷‍♂️

Somehow Feed on OneNote for the Desktop ‘forgets’ the account of Sticky Notes every time I restart my machine. Secondly, Feed loads slowly, locking up the whole OneNote experience for around a minute. I do not have such a challenge in OneNote for Windows 10 or OneNote on the Web or Outlook on the Web. All my software is up to date and my machine is enterprise class and relatively new.

For a future update, consider having Feed filter to defaults of a user’s choice, as it’s somewhat redundant having OneNote in Feed and in the mother App and having to filter out Feed’s OneNotes. This is especially inconvenient when you have thousands of OneNote Pages in dozens of Sections over multiple Notebooks and all you need is that little note you made the other day that you can’t quite remember.

I am not against people who want to use OneNote Desktop, nor do I have anything against the program itself. I want all teachers in my district to use the flavour of OneNote they enjoy. I have problems driving adoption of OneNote in that there are two versions installed on every teacher's computer in my district, and when trying to drive adoption, we struggle with uniformity. I am at a place where many teachers have not tried OneNote and are a bit thrown by the fact there are two versions on their computer, and they look very different. OneNote is my go-to for mostly everything I do. It syncs faster and more reliably than ever. It comes with more features I want, less that I don't. Maybe if Mike did a comparison between the two versions of OneNote, how they look different but under the hood they do many of the same things, people could trust that no matter what version they chose, they can work together and trust they are using a quality tool?

I've just redownloaded OneNote Desktop (Version 2103, Build 13901.20516) but I don't see the new feed. I also can't open notebooks saved on SharePoint ("thd serve you are trying to access is using an authentication protocol not supported by this version of office"). Anyone got any ideas please?

My favorite feature. I write a monthly report of certain industry articles for clients. Every day I use the web clipper to put a few articles in a new monthly folder. I title them with a few memorized chapter numbers (01, 02, 03) in my topical report. I can review the articles on an iPad with pen and annotate them freely. The same annotations show up perfectly in my Windows Desktop OneNote. I find this really amazing and it's a feature that's completely unknown in Evernote. Good to hear about sorting: that's critical for me. In my Windows 10 OneNote I have been using a free plug in called OneTastic for sorting.

The real question is did they do anything to fix exporting to pdfs! Especially having to do with dark mode. As a student it is so frustrating to use onenote to export homeworks as a pdf

Thanks Mike, but hold your horses, there are 21 note versions, they were bringing out a new one which had less functionality and were trying to shelve the older one. So which one should we be investing in as users?

Mike, I tried outlook for web but it’s not going to take off until you can have multiple email accounts within it there for everything that is connected is a waste of time because you still need to use the desktop Outlook application. I have to say that the Microsoft suite of products like teams, SharePoint is somewhat of a mess. Could be wonderful but is not… This is coming from a former managing director and owner of a web-based software company that created a CRM system for the Financial services industry. Intelliflo Ltd.

Mike, regardless of my comments, both of them, earlier, your videos are excellent and I do think one note is a superb application and the teams could be if they sorted out the absolute mess that is one drive versus SharePoint versus trying to manage it all.
