It can be a lot. Especially to pay for. And the only way to stop yourself from paying a lot it to aggressively end anything you no longer find value in paying for.

In addition to Rene's VERY clear directions for editing your subscriptions, I would suggest viewers check out the app "Bobby-Track Subscriptions." Thousands of reviews, almost all 5's. I've been using it for a couple years now to keep on top of when ALL my subscriptions (iOS and others) are about to auto-renew. Bobby sends you reminders with enough lead time to edit subscriptions if you want. I don't know if I can post links here, but this is the link to "Bobby" on the app store. Bobby – Track subscriptions by Yummygum https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/bobby-track-subscriptions/id1059152023?mt=8

P.S. I have no connections to "Bobby" or is developer. Just a very satisfied user.
P.S.S. It would be nice if Apple created a native subscription app with reminder functionality. IMO, that would be much better than burying it in Settings.

Another way to do this in iOS:

In the App Store tap your account at the top-right corner, and then tap "Manage Subscriptions"
Thanks for looking out for your viewers with this video Rene. The "laziness tax" for not cancelling subs can add up real quick!

There is a faster way to do this.  1. App Store 2. Click on your Pic in upper right hand corner 3. Manage Subscriptions

Hello Rene, did you know that you can also go to the Apple Support app on a iPad or iPhone, select Get Support, select the device, scroll down to Subscriptions & Purchases & select, manage away.

Skillshare subscription was a complete nightmare. They took my annual subscription without any warnings whatsoever. Really annoying.

To cancel from your iPhone, you can simply go to the App Store app, tap your account icon on the top right, and tap Manage Subscriptions. Fewer steps than navigating through the Settings app as the video mentions.

On iOS I feel like it is quicker/easier to open the App Store, tap your profile pic, then tap Manage Subscriptions. Does the same thing, right?

Rene, I enjoy watching your videos, I really do. I love to learn about everything tech related. But 20-25% of this video is ads, it almost feels like this video was pumped out to put display your Skillshare partner.

sucks when you can only afford to subscribe to one media streaming sight. I only got Netflix and that's only because my ex's son wanted it. Obviously I use the account too though. It stinks that you have to subscribe to a music streaming site just to play music you already own via a routine on your google home hub.

When's Ritchie going to talk about the awful subscriptions in the app store? Apple's pushing devs towards this new revenue model. 38.99 for a single app for ONE year? And this isn't the exception, there are some apps out there that charge WEEKLY, for some game like ToTM. Outrageous pricing

I have six 'fake' Youtube subscriptions that only appear on AppleTV – I cannot find them on a browser using the Youtube subscription management panel so I cannot delete them! There is no way in AppleTV because if I try to open the subscription, I get the error message with no path to delete them. Three of these fakes have no name and the others have names like "_c8MZ6bcLEN_". There is nothing to do in either Youtube or AppleTV to get rid of these fakes – help!!!

I appreciate you helping us to do this the only thing is I had to press stop in rewind Many times because you said it so fast and I’m not even that old… I think you could just talk a little bit slower I everyone that watches this video is not very tech savvy I would say or guess anyways…
Either way thank you so much!!!!!
