The iPhone 12 will test 5G hype once and for all

The biggest feature on the next iPhone (rumored to be called the iPhone 12) might be the addition of 5G connectivity. But will AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon be able to handle the hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people jumping onto their still-being-built 5G networks? It’s rare that Apple doesn’t have full control over how something operates on its phones.

since Apple has never been a network provider what difference does that make with any other past iPhone launch?

5g is deadly. But they are forcing you to upgrade. They stopped selling 4g phones. They even forced my grandad who has a basic flip phone to swich his sim card to 5g. It dosent take a rocket scienctist to know a phone tower shouldnt be by the building you sleep by🤦🏾the best way atm is make sure not to sleep next to this death trap of a phone

    🌟 AT&T and Verizon 5G is non-existence!
One corner of a street is not a city! And advertisement are completely false and it’s a SCAM. You can’t advertise something you technically don’t have.
The only true faster data speed (5G) belongs to T-Mobile.
Note: 5Ge is another att dirty trick.

5G is so unnecessary imo…especially for most people…if all the work and money that went into it could've been transfered into sth more useful and revolutionary…

Statistically speaking most people don't even need faster speeds since they are on limited bandwidth…also most users can't really utilize speeds faster than 4G. As far as latency goes they won't notice it outside online games. Coverage could've been extended instead of speed and bettery savings could've been itroduced instead of the opposite. Also I believe there could be way better software trickery (tcpip optimizations, better packet compression, maybe deployment of AI on the application layer or sth…) to achieve higher speeds and lower battery consumption apart from HW infrastructural changes (5G). mmWV is unnecessary.

I waited for 5 minutes in this video to learn what 5G was going to do for me better than 4G. Nothing, an information free video!

…I still jump between 3G and 4G sometimes. Because of the traffic. Especially nowadays.

If the biggest feature will be only 5G, then Apple has to understand that companies like Samsung have already have had 5G phones for 3 years now.

iPhone still has the horrendous notch! The screen isn't even 4K and there are no two forward-facing speakers that are symmetrical for true stereo sound, and make the speakers with Dolby Atmos sound like the Sony Experia 1 ii. No gimbal camera system on the iPhone like the Vivo X50 Pro. And no fingerprint sensor and no 120Hz displays and no AMOLED screens. Keep up with technology Apple!

4G LTE Is plenty fast enough for anything we need to do , & not nearly as Dangerous ! IMHO
