How to Use the Thesis Formatter: Step-by-Step Guide
A complete step-by-step tutorial for merging separate Word chapters into one structured Master thesis or Doctoral dissertation.
The Thesis Formatter combines separate DOCX files into one organized academic document. Processing occurs in your browser, so your thesis files do not need to be uploaded to the shared-hosting server.
- Choose an academic profile. Select the Tlemcen Doctorat profile for the Garamond layout, or choose the adaptable profile for a more general academic document.
- Select the document type. Choose Master Thesis or Doctoral Dissertation.
- Enter project information. Add the university, department, document title, student, supervisor, speciality, laboratory, defense date and academic year.
- Load the recommended structure. Use the Master or Doctorat preset to create the standard list of thesis parts.
- Upload one DOCX per part. Select the correct part type and displayed title for every uploaded file.
- Check chapter numbers. Chapter I, Chapter II and subsequent chapters must have the correct order before generation.
- Generate the final DOCX. Keep the browser tab open until the download is complete.
