How I got my first IT job | My journey to Network Engineer
This video is about how I ended up landing my first job in the Information Technology field as a Junior Network Specialist.
I started driving Lyft as a means to earn money in order to get CompTIA certified. After getting my CompTIA A+ certification, I landed a job at Geek Squad and have been working there for 7 months now. The journey included a lot of resume revision, interview prep, way too many phone screens, many interviews and a few final round interviews. I was ghosted many times but never lost hope and kept taking every loss as a learning experience. I also earned my CompTIA Network+, which bettered my resume for hiring managers.
Now that I have landed this position, I plan to learn as much as possible and keep climbing that ladder to become the Network Engineer I dream of becoming. My focus now is getting CCNA certified through cisco!
