This is an great opportunity to join one of the most innovative, fast growing, well respected leaders in the financial services industry. The current Director of Global Network Engineering will be retiring soon and they are looking to hire a great Network Engineering leader to take over…. and take their global network to the next level. This is a senior and highly strategic role, and reports directly to the CTO.
The Role:
Provide hands-on leadership and strategic direction to the global networks and infrastructure team; research, design, acquire, implement, maintain, and operate network, telecom services, and related facilities for the global enterprise.
Responsible for all aspects of the global voice, data center networking, and enterprise network and facilities (15+ offices and 4 data centers in the US, Asia, and Europe), including working with carriers and service providers
Continuously investigate and implement ways to improve the network (focused on growth, reliability, quality), leverage the latest technologies, and implement best practices across the global team. Ensure tracking and resolution of issues.
Manage the budget and the global team (“follow the sun”)

Requirements:
Must have 10+ years experience in network design, build, and operations
Must have 5+ years experience in network engineering leadership role (architecture/operations)
Must have excellent understanding of the latest technologies for enterprise networking, data center networking (e.g., VxLAN), network security, voice, telecommunications, and complex networks
Must possess exceptional technical knowledge, leadership, project management, and communications skills.
Must have strong understanding of data networks (switches, routers, security), voice platforms, and implementation strategies
Experience in Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, data centers, collocation facilities, and Linux environments is a plus.
BS or MS in an engineering or science discipline
