Machine Vision Using Image Moments Computed in Matlab

Matlab was used to compute the Hu’s moments of an object of interest. A scene containing unknown object positions and identities was captured using a webcam. The background was then subtracted from the scene to isolate the unknown objects. And finally Hu’s moments were used to identify each of the objects in the scene.

One application of these might be to identify fiducials on an optic. We often have fiducials on large optics and use those to correct distortion in our imaging optics and locate the test optic.

    Hi, I'm engineer in robotics and I'm studying my master's degree in Opto-Mechatronics in the CIO in México… I made my own code just for Hobbie based on this one, if you want me to send you the code just let me know… it's not that hard actually it is quite simple.

    Hi! How do you use the svd for lsf? Been trying to learn by yt videos but can't really understand how to apply it here. We are trying to solve for x in Ax=b , where A has all the inv moments of our reference in each column and b are the inv moments of the identified object. So what do we do with our aproximation of x? Why u call in a 4 in your function svdlsf function? truncation?
