Antenna CB Midland ML145 Code T562 01
Product Antenna CB Midland ML145 Code T562.01 cordless comes elegantly packaged in a thick, transparent film, printed with the Midland manufacturer’s logo. On the box at the end of the foil we find the manufacturer’s code, the Bare code, and the place where the Antenna is made: in our case Italy.
Also in the pack we find the rubber gasket (which comes between the antenna and the base) and the product manual, which is very important. It contains the technical features of the product, and a brief assembly guide.
In addition to this English manual, the manufacturer offers the same support and a warranty certificate on official sites (we found the dated goods quickly on a Google search) or you can ask them from any Midland Products vendor / distributor.
Although I can not say that I needed manual or warranty certificates, these are besides the seller’s legal obligation, and an additional reason to trust any product you buy.
It is good to know that the Product Warranty refers strictly to defects and fabrication issues, and excludes from the start the mechanical shocks applied to the antenna (broken, bent, sectioned wire, magnetic base pulled / kicked or jumped off the machine due to excessive speed).
The magnetic base is equally well documented, a very important detail that is specified by the manufacturer as the maximum speed at which the magnet resists the car: maximum 150 km / h (speed that is composed of vehicle speed + wind speed in the area).
For example, the car is running at 120 km / h and winds ahead at 30 km / h: the speed of 150 km / h specified above is reached.
Another very important aspect is the plane on which the magnet mounts: If these are too bulging / curved, there is a risk that the magnet will not catch the body well enough, and jump off the car much easier and at lower speeds than specified.
