Our client is a solid and fast growing 20B leader in the retail industry. They are growing organically and through many acquisitions. Due to their rapid growth and aggressive acquisition strategy, they are upgrading their entire network with the latest technology. What they are looking for is a hands-on Sr. Network Engineer that will focus on implementing and upgrading their new sites in the Western region, and will also manage vendors in the region that are handling some of the implementation/upgrade projects. The Role:
The position will focus on upgrading networking infrastructure locations, and managing vendors that handle many of the deployments and upgrades. The good news is that a standard framework and architect is already in place with a well defined runbook. So the initial phase of work is focused on working with (and managing) the assigned resources to implement the upgrades and deployments in the Western region.
Requirements:
Must have 4+ years’ hands-on experience in implementation of enterprise networking solutions from Cisco and HPE (including rip & replace, upgrades, etc.)
Must have experience deploying Aruba Central, Aruba switches, Cisco Meraki for Access Point Management, Cisco switches and routers (e.g., 6000 series)
Experience working with vendors and partners to ensure quality assurance of their deployments and upgrades.
Experience in any of the following is a plus: network automation (e.g., Python, Ansible), SolarWinds, Meraki
HPE and/or Cisco certifications are a plus (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, etc.)
Must have great people skills (e.g., teamwork, collaborative, self-driven)
Must already be authorized to work in the US.
